Letter, Feb. 5, 1941.

Letter to Mr. and Mrs Stanley Hubbs of Chicago sent from Carbondale, Illinois on Southern Illinois Normal University stationery makes reference to "my Lincoln book" and the expense of "putting the book on the market ate up the profits." Mentions "Mabel Thompson" of Carbondale who is in Hollywood and has "sales of her articles" but otherwise is not "in the swim". Mentions a Chicago friend who is writing on historical subjects and at the time "has a job getting up the celebration of old Carlyle, near Greenville."
